Your presence at Ethiopian American Day will contribute to the success of this event and the realization of our shared goals. We believe that by coming together, we can build a stronger, more connected community that values and benefits each and every one of us.

 Our short-term goals include obtaining approval from Orange County Government to officially recognize March 2nd as Ethiopian Day. This event will serve as an opportunity to bring together the Ethiopian American community from surrounding counties for a day of celebration at one of Orange County's parks. We plan to showcase businesses, churches, mosques, cultural attire, food, and various items reflective of our rich heritage. Elected officials and agencies will be invited to join us, as we work towards building a stronger and more connected community.

 Looking ahead, our long-term vision encompasses a multitude of initiatives, including:

· Preserving and teaching our heritage

· Creating connections for social activities

· Facilitating business-to-business introductions

· Developing robust youth, adult, and children's groups

· Focusing on education, sports, scholarships, and more for the younger generation

· Providing support for legal and immigration issues

· Engaging in advocacy and diplomacy work for the community

· Preparing for the betterment of our community through strong civil society practices
